The NaturCycle UX case study aims to develop an innovative and user-friendly application to promote eco-conscious skincare, emphasizing sustainability and responsible recycling practices. The research focused on enhancing usability, navigation and messaging to optimize user engagement while communicating NaturCycle's commitment to sustainable beauty. By evaluating the current user
experience, implementing intuitive design elements and emphasizing the sustainability of user interactions.
NaturCycle is facing multiple challenges within the skincare and cosmetics industry, including substantial environmental impact and waste generation. NaturCycle aims to address these concerns by recycling human waste materials, reducing waste, and educating users with sustainability content. However these goals and challenges are very difficult for a start-up brand to tackle, especially the brand itself lacks any official channel. Besides, the human waste products promoted by the brand are unprecedented.
The goal of the NaturCycle project is to create an engaging and user-friendly application that advocates sustainable beauty practices while effectively communicating its core values, unique selling points, and commitment to sustainability.
User flow was created for understanding the app concept based on persona and potential users. When users visit the application, they can access these flows based on their goals.
The IA is based on the user flows and client brief to set up. The search system was used as the skeleton of the application. So users can find the products and add them to the shopping cart easily.
This is Naturcycle app journey map based on Goal 03- To browse and purchase suitable beauty products, which further examines how users engage in a process to achieve their goals.
